Got my girl back home always feels better when they are back home

I have been a pet parent less than 22months and cancer/ tumours have already taken 2 of my furbies. It's hard not to feel like a failure sometimes but i cherish every second we had with them both, it is not the time they are with us but what we do with that time. We packed a lifetime of love into a few short months twice

Sleep tight little one, I'll see you on the rainbow one day

Princess was lexies favourite pet, they had an incredible bond the day we got our puppy (lexie had begged for a dog for years) she played with the puppy for 5minutes then said 'can I go and see my prin now please ' this loss has been especially hard on lexie with all the covid disruption and no school etc

You hit the nail completely on the head when you said "it is not the time they are with us but what we do with that time". That's true of any pet, large or small. They do live for today and if we just make today a good day for them, we are succeeding in being a good pet owner.

I'm pleased you got your Princess home, and such lovely poems, i know how you feel as i am waiting to get my little boy home too, It is amazing how these small animals become so quickly part of the family and make a huge hole in your heart when they are taken.
