Shimmer and Saffron

I found Shimmer sitting on the ikea bed today. Aww. My little beauties. As soon as she saw me she turned towards me and got ready to get off the bed and gather up the snack that I was surely going to give her. Saffron got ready to snatch any food that might appear!

Bindweed managed to get in to Moondust's area of the shed. She saw him and very slowly extended her body towards him with her ears forwards. I watched them for a while then put the barrier back in place (clever Bindweed had managed to move it) and left them for the night.

The next day he was in her space again! I watched for a while and once again put the divider back.

Later, at pellet time he was back on Moondust's side. I surrender.

The barrier has been packed away, all litter trays have been changed and they are now together. This was them tonight.

Yes weepweeps I was going to bond them, in fact going to send them off to be bonded but as you say they (well, he) took matters into his own paws!

The vet visit is for Shimmer and Saffron to have a nail trim and a check up and for Moondust to have the wound on her forehead looked at. It has opened up a few times over the years but this time I don't like the look of it.

Bindweed is coming along for fun!
 
The weight training went well.

The guinea pigs had their nails trimmed and the vet listened to their chests and lungs and gave them the all clear. I had heard bubbly breathing and was concerned that they may have had some kind of respiratory problems.

He also looked at Moondust's wound and said all was well and ust to keep an eye on it.

Bindweed didn't need looking at. He stayed in the carrier looking handsome.

Clean out day today. Well every day really but this is more of a deep clean. Lovely clean fleece area and new snowflake wood shavings in the hay area. They are nice and soft. They still have their litter trays with wooden bridges over them.

No snuggle safes in these pics though.
