RIP beautiful shirley - Shirley is the ginger piggy. Only 2yrs 3mths old and appeared very robust and active - always first at the veggie pot and first at the door for free range play. I'd been having a lot of health and family problems and so on March 3rd I took Shirley and her friend Willow back to Helen (becklan rescue). I had a lovley weekend with Helen and her piggies and I knew I'd done the best thing for my girls in returning them to Helen.
Anyway Helen rang me today to say that Shirley passed away suddenly this morning without any prior warning of ill health - so most likely a stroke as Shirley was unable to move when helen went into them this morning. Shirley ran to the rainbow bridge in the couple of mins it took Helen to get ready to go to the vets. In was such a shock as she seemed such a healthy girl.
In the time Shirley was with Helen she lived with Willow and their new husband Moses. So fortunately Willow has not been left all alone.
Had very sad day - run free Shirley.
