Fudge has a dust allergy so quite often gets a bit snuffly. The last few days he's started shivering. We've been to the vets and he couldn't find anything wrong, no URI, no bloating, nothing. He's givin me a weeks bayril as a precaution. Apart from this piggy is his normal self, eating, drinking etc. Anyone have any ideas?

welcome to the forums from me and the girls in oz. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: maybe fudge is just cold? has the shivering stopped now he is on medication? the only time our piggies shiver is when they are cold. hoping you find out fudge's problem. sending hugs and cuddles to you and fudge :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: girls send :-* :-* :-*

yeah maybe he's cold? :-\ does he feel cold? he could have a high temperature O0 is he indoors? ((HUGS)) keep us posted sorry i can't help much :-* :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

He lives outdoors but hutch is very well insulated and he has vetbed, lots and lots of shreaded paper. He's perked up since the bayril so maybe he had someting underlying? Not really sure but it seems to of stopped so will just keep an eye on him. The vet says it could well of been stress, we get an awful lot of cats in our garden so maybe one frightened him.

Chances are he's cold. Even if the hutch is insulated it still will be nothing near what room temperature in a house is. I assume you don't bring him inside for cuddles?

He's just been bonded with a baby boar so maybe cause of stress though they appear to adore each other. He mothers the baby something cronic so don't think its that. He does come inside but not when heating is on. He's back to his normal self so I guess he must've been fighting off something or other as its colder now than it was when he was shivering!

so glad he is feeling better and that he is being a father to the little boar you have put in with him. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: sending you both hugs and cuddles :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: and the girls send :-* :-* :-* would just keep an eye on him for a while for your own piece of mind. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
