Rant time.. After watching youtube videos, I like to read comments to see if people disagree to the information. I was watching one just now from Happy Tails. Reading through the comments I come across this Screenshot_20190108-011049_YouTube.webp
I am so shocked that this person not only thinks this is ok, but attends an animal management college that thinks it's ok! And they also say they know what they're talking about as their family runs a rescue? No respectful rescue would ever give out this kind of misinformation. I'm just so mad and upset right now for all those animals in the "care" of these people. It's not right :( (delete if this screen shot is not allowed)

:( I don’t understand how people don’t get this is a bad idea. But as the others have said, all we can do is educate everyone we come across!

And scottys animals

Most of the others are full of idiots that dont have a clue, avoid viewing them and dont look through the comments section. If you try to educate people they turn nasty. Forget it 👍

Doesn't surprise me, I did animal management at college and the information we were given was usually outdated and rubbish, the care standards for most animals were abysmal and a select few lecturers were absolutely clueless. One tried to teach us in a practical lesson how to scruff a guinea pig...I can still hear that poor animal screaming.
It sounds pretty awful but I am always sceptical of anyone who brandishes the qualifications I have like they're worth anything..if people take what I 'learned' from it seriously, care standards would still be in the dark ages.

They do know that 1 kick from a rabbit is 5 times stronger ans could kill the piggie..... 😟

It is really not worth paying attention to. I do agree with a lot of what is said above but there is a whole group of people out there that hasn't yet been mentioned. Those people are the attention seekers and/or trolls. Those that will disagree with any information for their 5 minutes of fame and also those that will purposely say stuff because they know they will upset others.

I knew that there were uneducated people out there, but it just shocked me that some animal management courses teach that it's ok. I tried to educate, gave a list of reasons why the two shouldn't live together but apparently because no guinea pigs have died yet from the rabbits, it's ok to house them together. They said they even house a disabled piggy and a deaf bunny together.
@Lady Kelly maybe you're right. I hope it's just a troll for the animals sake.

Oh my goodness, that must of been horrible for you to witness. That poor piggy must of been terrified out of it's mind!

Yeah that was the first happy tails video i had watched, there was nothing wrong with the video just the comments were pretty bad with people trying to make excuses why they do what they do. Though, saskia and Scotty says that guinea pigs should be fed unlimited pellets... but I guess that's not the worst wrong thing out there.
