A couple days ago I got a showbox and cut a little doorway in it. I put it in their cage as a toy for them and they like to jump on it. They both like to chew on it, but I do think there actually eating the cardboard as i'm not finding any traces of cardboard left around the cage. I'm only leaving it in their cage for about an hour a day because i'm worried that the cardboard may get stuck in their intestines or something. Is it ok for me to give it to them or should I just chuck it away?

:D Unless the cardboard has some kind of dangerous content or nasty ink on it, I would not worry. So many piggie toys and accessories are made of cardboard these days, that it must be safe for them to chew.
If there is one thing that makes a piggie happier than a cardboard box, its a cardboard box filled with parsley!

Both my piggies like to eat cardboard, I save small boxes for them, filled with hay they are great entertainment. They also love to chew on toilet roll inners, cut a slit along the length to make sure heads don't get stuck. Spike my avatar pig likes to throw the rolls around the cage and put them in his nugget bowl. As long as it's plain cardboard and not the shinny stuff I don't think it will hurt if they eat it, watch out for and remove staples though.IMG_7146.webp
