After seeing some many of your C&C cages I need to make a shopping list of the things I am after. I havent got a great deal of money so it will be mainly bought from BnM and Poundland kind of shops. What do I need? Here is what I think I need

- Basket or a tray for hay, to keep it in one place
- Stools - so they can jump on to, hide off of them
- Kitchen towels - To put in the corner to make a hidey "openy" corner
- Pegs - To make the hidey corner


Any other ideas?
 
Yeah, I have all the basic bits. I have a huge cage now, so I want to use it to its proper ability :P
 
If you can't find a good sized tray for a hay basket/foraging pit, you could check a used site to see if any hamster cages are being given away in your area. When I had the c&c I used empty bases of these and they always turned out to be a perfect size. Litter trays can be rather expensive for how flimsy some of them are.
 
Ill have a hunt around. I might find something perfect :)
 
finally yhe right link posted. ug. baby rattles are good for hanging toys from pound land. you could also cut holes in a peg bag for a hay bag. the small pet fleece are good for putting over any ends that maybe exposed to draughts.
 
Do you have an Ikea near you? Ikea has a doll bed made out of wood. Although it may be a bit more pricey than a stall.

Mine love their tunnel. It's one of those ones with a hole in the middle as well as at each end.
 
Didnt get half the stuff I wanted but I have started making their home better. Take a look :) Where Baxter is, is where their bedroom will be but thats in the wash atm. The box is full of hay as well and Flipflop has discovered sitting in it.

I plan to get a hammock, so stick bridges and more tunnels etc :)

Flipflop, haha thats an awesome name! love the washing basket thing, my Norman always tries and gets out while i clean so I may do this instead! Its looking great!
 
It is looking great.


I've just put a brown paper bag filled with hay in my set up - they're thoroughly enjoying it !
