i currently have Meg, Squirrel and Jolene together and am gettin Kenickie neutered in April (when his old enough) to go with them and I'm wondering if any other piggies can be introduced? They are in a huge cage so space is not a problem but is that to many already? i know boars shouldnt be added but what about more sows? what do you think?

thanks :)

You can in theory add as many sows to a group with a neutered boar as space and temperament allows - I've got a group of 10 in the shed but they have a huge space to live in, so quarrels are few and far between. It depends on the pigs - some of my sows won't take a neutered boar (because they're still humpy!) and some won't live in a group, only in a pair. If they're getting along happily, I probably wouldn't rock the boat!

Also re: space, it's 4' x 2' for a pair then an extra foot for each piggy, so 4 would need 6' x 2' at least... so any extras would need more than this

If you are sure that you have the right size accommodation, lots of time and love to give them ... and, of course, can afford the extra expense, then I am sure there are lots of lovely piggies out there just waiting for a kind and loving forever home!
