Hello everyone, i am just after a bit of advise really..... i was going to bath my 2 guinea pigs today, but i am unsure if it will cause to much stress on squeek, early last year she suffered from a inner ear infection and has left her good in health, but she is a bit scatty at times and she has not much patience with being handled for long periods. The vet seems to think that she has slight damage to her brain. Shes happy enough, eats plenty of veggys, hay and nuggets, popcorns and charges about and is a healthy weight.

Just thought i would get some opinions from more experienced guineapig slaves :)

Is she actually dirty...?
Or is it her back end...? You could do a butt and foot bath if it's just feet and bum... :))
I wouldn't bother bathing her if she's not grubby... You don't want her getting a chill with how cold it is... Especially if she's been poorly with her ears...

Glad to hear shes doing well though...!

Shes not grubby, she does clean herself a lot and i change her fleece every 3-4 days and do spot checks every day, so i think i may just leave it till the nicer weather gets here, and see how she goes, thank you for a responce tho claire :)

Unless your piggies need a bath for medical reasons, leave it until warmer weather, please! If necessary give a bum bath or cut the hair at the bum as short as possible for the time being if you have longhaired guinea pigs; at least in this weather there is no problem with insects.
