Just did the weekly weigh of Patchy and Coco and Patchy has lost 36 grams which is probably just a pee but Coco has lost 56 grams. They both look well and we had a lovely lap time where I checked them over and everything looks okay, patchy is in season so is a little stroppy as she has strong seasons. I’m wondering if a recent change of diet is the cause of the sudden weight lose (for Coco at least) as this week we have had some quite bad calcium deposits which I think was celery related but I have cut their pellets down to half a 1/8 cup of pellets morning and night from 1/8 of a cup m&n and their has been much wheeking during the day since. Should I up their pellets again now their pee is looking alot better?

@Kylie80 I would leave as if for now. A daily 50g drop is something to be concerned about but over a week then not so much.

I cut pellets completey out of my bladder stone pigs diet and he lost 200g over a course of a few months, but it did stop at a healthy weight. The vet wasn't worried.

Pellets are quite calorific so I would expect a weight drop.

You can give me hay, or add in a second or third type if you want to increase their eating.

Sorry missed this @Kylie80 I agree with Jaycey above 50g can be a poo or difference of empty/full bladder. Keep an eye on the weights hopefully just a one off

:hug:You are very welcome.Sometimes threads get missed with the time difference. I'm not sleeping much this week it's good to put my insomnia to a useful purpose!

They are slowly putting a little back on as they have a extra bowl of hay in the morning and night now. I did panic a bit I admit lol, I would hate to think I was dropping the ball with their care and somehow I had made them sick.
