So the last couple seasons which Lois has had, seem to be quite strong, during this time she's constantly bothering Laine, and Laine quite frankly wants nothing to do with Lois as this time and is wee spraying her away, running from her, nudging her to leave her alone etc. The last time this happened was about 2 weeks ago, so would be in line with a regular season, but should I be worried about how "strong" these seasons are, or is Lois just potentially younger than maybe we think? (The rescue were unsure but suspected about a year) are seasons stronger when piggies are younger? The scuffles don't lead into fights so I'm that worried, but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

If it is just a regular season, then you need not worry at this stage. Sows can have strong seasons throughout their lives. Only when a sow seems to be nonstop in season as an adult do you need to have her checked for ovarian cysts. Some sows are more hormonal than others.

My Ellen went through a stage of having strong and regular seasons, so much so Edward couldn’t get away from her so due to her age (she’s 4 in March) I had her checked for ovarian cysts which thankfully my vet has said she doesn’t have any. Thankfully her behaviour has calmed down now.

I wouldn’t worry at her age :)

Most girls go through a phase of strong seasons, it caught me off guard at first but I have seen it in many of our ladies throughout the years. Just keep a watchful eye
