Should I change her food?

Hi,

At the moment Revolver my piggy is on Gerty Guinea-pig museli mix since when I had Barney (my other piggy) that was the only food he would touch. So I fed them on that ever since.

However before Revolver was on Gerty mix, she was on excel nuggets and she loved them.

Now, I'm concerned about her health because of her age, she is now 5. So I want to ensure that she has all the nutrition she needs. I do also give her vegs, herbs and fruits daily, especially the ones that contains Vitamin C.

So basically, is it sensible to change her food to nuggets - better quality foods or not?

I'm thinking of Oxbow Cavy Cuisine since they are brilliant products, as I feed my Rabbit Oxbow pellets. I'm not bothered about the price as their health is far more important. As I just want what's best for Revolver.

Last spring, I changed my five year old Dizzy successfully from Gerty's to Excel, although I had to sit it out for three weeks during which time I put a bit of probiotic into the water bottle.

Either Oxbow or Excel should be fine, and as Revolver used to love it, she should switch much more easily than my Dizzy did! Best of luck!
