Should I clean c&c grids?

My C&C grids have been getting a bit dusty over the past months and I don't know whether to clean it or not. I would do it but the problem is that they are very hard to take apart and kind don't want to do that. In fact, I don't even know if you're supposed to clean them in the first place. Is it really necessary to clean C&C grids every once in a while? If so, what do you guys do to clean them?
 
Mine recently had a full on wash/spray as we had no piggies in it for a few days - they were so dirty I was ashamed!
 
I put the soft brush attachment on my vaccum and run it over the grids occasionally to get rid of dust. I did concertina my grids up last year and washed them as a whole in the bath with disenfectant but I would say that is only really necessary if the piggies have something infectious like ringworm .
 
I use vinegar to soak fleece beddings, clean food bowls, soak stuffed toys, clean hay trays, spray cages with vinegar after cleaning with water and etc. I use vinegar in all surface areas to kill germs. I feel this beats going to the exotic vet any day as the cost of exotic vet visits are quite high. Less bacteria around my piggies, the better chance I have in ending up with healthy piggies.

I might start to wipe grids with vinegar water now that you mention it.
 
I tend to run a wet cloth over them regularly (weekly) (you can go against and with the grain of the grid, try it and you’ll find the smooth way to wipe them)

I brush them with the dustpan brush weekly

I vacuum with brush attachment every few months

I get bored of cage setup every 2 years or so when I take the whole thing apart and put the grids in the bath and rinse them with shower hose before reassembling
