Hi I posted yesterday about my poorly piggy Johnny he is not eating or drinking at the moment so I am feeding him critical care. He has been to the vets who gave him an X-ray and checked his teeth they say the only thing they could find was some gas in his stomach and intestines they have put him on baytril metacam metoclopramide and ranitidine the only thing I have gotten him to eat is a bit of grass a couple of dandelion leaves and one slice of cucumber are those three things going to make his gas worse ? Any advice would be really appreciated thanks

As long as you feed grass and cucumber only in very small quantities, you are likely to be OK, but they can cause bloating and may contribute. I would rather recommend to stay off any fresh food as long as the bloating is ongoing.

Thanks for your reply he just ate a little lettuce is that ok? The vet told me they don't see many piggies when she was trying to work out the costs so just ended up charging me as if he was a rabbit. She was the one who told me to feed grass and cucumber but I wasn't sure that was right
