Should I Get Him Neuteuered?

Should I neuter my rescue boar liquorice? Is there a need? He lives with snatch my nuetuered boar. Snatch is around 7 months and liquorice is about a year. Liquorice is much bigger though. I don't have any plans for him to live with anyone else apart from snatch as long as they're happy. Are guinea pigs like rabbits in the fact it's best that they are neutered no matter what other genders are living with them?

If Liquorice is happily living with another boar, then neutering is not necessary, unless you are planning to have the option of him living with sows at one point. Unlike with rabbits, male guinea pigs don't have aggression problems and neutering does not change their behaviour.

Thanks @Wiebke. I think I'll just leave it as long as they are happily living together but if they fight in the future I can look into getting him neutered and then a ladypig. Thanks again for your help.

If you do consider getting him neutered in the future it's best to be done before he's four.
