her sister died about 2 mounths ago and she seem so lonely we both miss her soo much do you think i should get her a friend

Yes! If you have a rescue near you, you can take Hunny along to let her choose a friend herself! Guinea pigs really enjoy each others company, they're such sociable little animals. I thoroughly recommend it, and I'm sure everyone else here would too.

oh thank you so much
i have hunny on my lap right now shes getting loads of tiggles as shes lonely

i have just looked at breeds and hunny is a Abby and has 8 rosettes on her she is show quality but i would never show her but its nice to no shes a star
she has always been my star

Ah no worries, sounds like Hunny is a little treasure. I've an Aby cross called Sunshine he has six rosettes, I think he is mixed with a smooth or a tortoise as his markings are darker on the back!

Let us know how you get on!

i will keep you posted i have to wait till tuesday to go so yay tuesday

Umm..it would be a good idea if shes lonely, but if you go to a rescue, you can let her choose a friend to make sure she wont be too bossy, or wont get bullied!

As for the amount of rosettes, there is a lot more involved in show than that...they need to be in specific places on the body etc etc...

i no about the rosesttes its just nice to no she has them

she is a shy little girl so i will make sure she choose her own friend and make sure they ahve simular personalitys so they dont boss each outh er around

How does a guinea choose her own friend at a rescue? Do you take her along and pop her in with several to see which she gets on best with or something (sorry just nosey)?

well i would think you would do that so wen my mum comes back from her holiday i will tell me brother he can help choose his (own) new piggy

(hes artistic so another animal would really benefit him hunny understands him and is so nice to him we love Joe so much it wouldn't be the same without him)

I expect everyone does it differently, I try them one at a time. Have a towel ready in case of fighting :)
