Nellie has just started a dose of Septrin antibiotics for an infection, and I've noticed that she is producing very tiny little poops (the smallest poops I have ever see from a pig). They're the right shape, just absolutely tiny.

I have some Pro-C Probiotic - should I give her some? And how best to administer it - mix it with nuggets, or in the water? Or even feed it to her directly? (she's not keen on the syringe)

She shares a water bottle and nuggets with Elma. She's been a bit off her food because she's not feeling great, and I know that antibiotics can suppress appetite as well?

Yes, please give her a pinch about 1-2 hours of the antibiotic. Don't add it to the water bottle. You can either feed it with some veg or syringe it mixed into 1 ml of water (i.e. 1 syringe full).

I would strongly recommend to top her up with hand feed to keep the guts going and the weight up as much as possible to help her fight the infection; she is clearly not eating enough. You can also give her extra vitamin C to help prop up the immune system. Weigh her daily at the same time in the feeding cycle. A piggy with a serious infection in the body usually loses its appetite, but a strong antibiotic won't help with that initially until it is kicking in and Nellie is starting to feel better in herself.

Thanks for your help! I shall go and give her some now.
