My piglets are currently in the bedroom but I am not using it at the moment, I am sleeping on the sofa cos after the split, I can't bear to be in 'our' bed. Also, because he will be collecting his things soon, there is a perfect space in the living room and he can't moan anymore.

My only concern is it looking untidy, as horrible as that sounds but the cages themselves are an eyesore, not to mention the occasionally wee smell!

What do you think? Do you think the hustle and bustle of being downstairs will make us become friends?

At this time I would do whatever will make you feel happy x

Then go for it, you can always move them back if you change your mind. This is your chance to make those changes that you have wanted to make but couldn't. What else are you thinking of doing?

If this was my house, and I had a living room my piggles would be in it.

The living room is the main room in the house, I can think of nothing better than them being there! In the meantime, we'll stick to the room I spend my time in my bedroom, although piggles can be noisy rolleyes!

Go for it hun, if it makes you happy then do it xx
Sorry to hear about the split too, hope you are doing ok xx

i personally think it would help you to move them, not only will it fill a space (that will be a reminder that he's gone ) but piggies have a brilliant way of entertaining you when you most need it :) you can always move them back if it doesn't suit you x

you could also think about doing something to the bedroom to make it different and yours, that way you may find that you'll be able to sleep in their again x

Thank you. :)

Well he is coming tomorrow for the majority of his stuff so the bookcase and it's contents will hopefully be gone because that is where they are going. 8;)

Must admit, I do miss them, being up there. Them and my pooch are the only things keeping me going. 8...

I like hearing them talk to each other and rumblestrut and I hardly see it, that is tomorrow night's task! 8)

I think you should give your bedroom a mini makeover to help you move back into it. Painting it would be great or just turn the matress, get some new bedding and put your beautiful things around the room. Ask a friend to help and you can make a day of it!

Thank you, doesn't help his mum bought us the bedding.

I will do a move around tomorrow, I am not paying all this money to live on the sofa!

I will show him! pow-pow

He will be shocked that all his belongings are stacked in the spare room with the door slammed shut.

That means you are getting better every day x

I am so annoyed that he rings me to ask how I am, asking to stay friends, then I message him on facebook and he practically more or less goes instantly offline.

That is it now, I am going to be a hard faced cow and concentrate on what is important to me, me and my pets. :)

After tomorrow just take some time out to think about what you want to do and to take care of yourself and your many beasts!

good luck with the move around today :)

Our piggies used to be in the dining room when we first got them and then when we replaced the carpet for laminate they got moved "temporarily" into the livingroom then we couldn't face putting them back in there. It is soo nice having them in the livingroom as they chatter away all the time and they are great company :(|) especially for me when OH is on nightshift as I sleep on the sofa

Go for it! :)

go for it hun, piggies are much better in the living room!

you are getting there!

and after his stuff is gone, and you're all sorted with the financial side of things, try not to contact him for a while, its not going to help you get on and deal with it if you dont have a clean break, and i know thats easier said than done! :)) hugs xx

It will definitely get easier. :)

Definitely move them into the sitting room, it'd be lovely to have them there! You can always move them back if you change your mind. :)

Great idea to move the pigs into the living room. I love having mine in the living room. We even eat dinner together. :(|)

Thumbs up from another living room piggy slave!

That's the first thing I'd do if my hubby moved out! I so miss having my babies in the living room.
And, as Aalur said, the best thing is to completely cut ties for a while to give yourself time to recover. Every time you speak it's only going to open up old wounds and new hopes. You don't need it, time to move on!
I don't think the "Let's stay friends" thing works, at least not at the beginning. You both need time alone to sort yourselves out and readjust. Then maybe, sometime down the line you could be friends again.
Take care of you and do all the things that make you happy. Things Will get better. x

It'll all get easier - move them to where you want - its your choice now and you can have them wherever you feel happiest.

Mine are moving today too to my living room....lol

Hope it all goes ok today.

x

I currently have nearly all the guineas in my living room! I love having them there and yes it can smell but if you keep on top of things it isn't bad. My living room smells lovely and clean today.
