My girls live in a hutch which is of course stuffed with hay. I have noticed though that whenever I top up with fresh hay, they always munch on that. Just wondering if I should provide them with a hay rack or are they ok eating their bedding? 98)

Heheh i think hay rack is good as its clean and fresh =)
Fresh and clean hays are healthy for them.

Moist hays isn't so good... so if u got a hayrack, i think they would finish the hays on the rack 1st den secondary their own beddings LOL~

Actuallie u can have lots of creative ideas towards hay rack. hehehe since mine is not those "REAL" hayrack, its actuallie those that we used to put utensils (forks/spoons) in the kitchen.. that kinda of rack, i used it to put hays =)

hehe I think those from pet shop is reallie expensive. before i got this idea of using those metal "hayholder", i bought a hayball from petshop and the price is soooooooo expensive!

now my piggies always eat from the hayholder instead of the hay ball.. hahahaha~

I have a hay rack for my girls! They get p@h hay for bedding but Excel Herbage for in the rack - they get all excited and wheek madly when its getting filled up.

you guys just got me thinking, so I got all creative and made a hay rack out of linen square and a couple close line pins, she loves it :)

Ill get her a real one but for now this will work I thinks
