Ok the story so far, my 2 boars started fighting, i bathed them together did everything i was adviced to do and they still fought, neither hurt one another, i didnt let it get that far so seperated them.
Harvey was then getting lonely so i decided to get him a baby boar, read up on it and introduced them in neutral surroundings as adviced, read that after 5 mins if they got on, then they would be fine. But watched them for about 20 mins before putting them in a new cage that had 2 houses, 2 bowls etc. And checked them every half an hour or so and they were ALWAYS cuddled in one another in the same house, or sharing a piece of veg.
A week later i noticed Harvey had blood in the corner of his mouth, Junior had 2 cut toes and a scratch on his face! There house that they had been together in (the other was still in the cage too) had blood splattered all over it was awful (i posted pics on here a few weeks ago).
I immediatly seperated them as adviced and have since tried re-introducing them on neutral surroundings again but Harvey started teeth chattering to Junior and going for him, i then decided to id try and introduce Junior to Peter again on neutral surroundings but Peter went for Junior.
Since then Junior has looked lonely he popcorns in his cage squeaking to the others and running round looking for a friend to play with, he isnt eating his veggies but plenty of hay and dried food and weight is fine. So I'm wondering about getting another piggie? This time a female rescue from the RSPCA that has been neutered, what do you think?
How would i go about bonding them? Will the RSPCA allow me to introduce them there and then? what happens if they fight? I can afford another piggy but I'm not sure i have the room for another cage. if they will go together then it will be fine. also do you pay for a piggy at the RSPCA or is it a donation? and how much is it?
Thanks
