oOOoo! Such a good idea will get some photographs of the boys shed tomorrow when there is more light! :)

come on everyone show us how you keep your piggies warm :)xx>>>

Thanks for this thread - I read somewhere that you shouldn't cover your cage with a blanket for some reason but my flat gets cold so I have to cover a bit of their cage up at night - it's good to know others do too.

I also have snuggle sacks, mini pillows and cuddle cups to add some warmth for them, and plenty of hay :)

I just put the heater on for them lol Nothing else really. With them being indoors, in a room that is regularly used by people, the heater is on for the people and that makes the temperature cozy for everyone.

Well done everyone.
Keep the picture's/pigtures & advice coming everyone xx>>>xx>>>

Sleeping baggies! I've made them some with a tripple layer of fleece with a heay duty cotton on the outside - the older boys literally have to be transfered from one to the other when they need cleaning.

I also throw lots of fleeces and blankets and hay stuffed cardboard boxes in their hutches too. They are always so snuggly and warm <3

Mine are in an indoors double hutch - they only use the bottom half. They have lots of hay are bedded on fleece or vet bed and at night the front of the hutch is 3/4 covered to help prevent drafts because it faces a window. They also have small squares of fleece to snuggle under and I have seen them actually do this.

Mine are free range in the conservatory. This has a thermostat controlled heater, next to their bedroom section. Here is a picture of them in the afternoon, with snow on the ground outside, all lined up and snuggly. The heater is opposite the camera, so they are in the corner nearest to the heat!

I get a little closer and they start to wake up...

The littlest one, Chamomile, was inside the log thing. Here she is...

Normally, at night time, I would find the top piggie which is Carmina the brown one inside the log. Perhaps she has decided the littlest should go in there - then she would make sure that happened once she decided it!
But, basically, they just have the usual 'all weather' set up and the heater keeps them cosy. There is always 'stuff' on top of the sleeping area anyhow which helps to prevent draughts.
