Now... I know this forum it totally against showing...

but I just wanted to know eveyryones thoughts on showing...

If you dont like it... why not?

I personally think its ok :) oh and why i think its ok cause i think it does no harm to the piggies whatsoever and its just a day out O0
 
I think its ok from what i've heard, its a nice hobby and as long as the piggies are well looked after and happy. But then again i dont know much about it so not really sure! x
 
I have only been to one show, just to see what it was like and I was pleasantly surprised the piggies were all ok and none looked frightened and they had plenty of hay and fresh grass in there cages ( these were small) and their fav treats. The judges were very careful with them and the owners were pampering their piggies too. I didnt like the for sale bit only because there were some piggies who had issues so werent to be bred from like fatty eye :'( they were gorgeous but at least they were selling them and hadn't bumped them off. SO as long as the show is done in the correct manner and the piggies arent stressed I dont mind it but I would never show myself.
 
Dazie - Well said and i have to agree although ive never been to a cavy show but it is mainly like any other show O0
 
I better not go to a show then, i'd come home with about 10 pigs who werent good enough to show :( lol!
