ive Lewis who has had a head tilt for one week and urine infection,he has ear infections in both ears and a UTI.He is on trimethoprin for this.Lewis is the dominant piggie usually. But Casper is having altercations with Lewis, lunging at him.Lewis is ignoring him,has his back away from him.I am not sure if to seperate, put a divider between them both.OR put a female with each piggie, they were both neutered 7 weeks ago.

I would try separating with a grid, at least when you are not around. Casper is feeling that Lewis is not up to speed and is his trying his luck. See how the two are once Lewis is feeling better again. Only if the are not going back together again would I split permanently.

Thanks @Wiebke .i have put a dividing grid in 2X 6 C &C cage.I fear if Lewis head tilt is permanent then it will be a fulltime seperation. Will try each boar with a female.x

I know this is horrible to watch, under piggies do try their luck at times unfortunately. if the head tilt does become permanent it doesn't mean he won't be back to his boarly self when the infection is gone so try not to think too far ahead. Sending lots of healing vibes to Lewis and a hug to you

It is always a bit of an upsetting time when the hierarchy changes, as that can be rough. You have to see how the boys are when Lewis has recovered from his illness. Are they neutered?

Yes,both were neutered 7 weeks ago.Lewis is ten months,Casper is 6 months.ive decided to place a female with each of them,as there had been a few scuffles before,Lewis seems much happier with his new wife.Casper is not too sure, rumble, rumble, rumble !
