Sick Piggy..again

We are out the whole afternoon and I hope Cookie would eat. She used to weigh 1366g before all these started. She is skinny now (eventhough her weight is still good) that's why I am worrying! I'm not used to her being like that. Compare her with Prince who keeps on eating despite his dental problems and weighing 1080g, he is still a bit chunky and not skinny.
 
Hope she keeps munching all afternoon for you. And starts putting some more weight on xx

They lose weight so quickly when they're poorly.
My Rupert was 1150g before his UTIs and bladder stones a couple of years ago, he's now 950-975g and I've never been able get the weight back on him!
 
Come on Cookie get that food eaten while those hoomans are out! Give them a big surprise x
 
I weighed her when we got back this afternoon (5pm) and she weighed the same as this morning, 1089g. So she hasn't eaten much but since that time, she has been eating hay, grass, cucumber, carrots, melon, pepper, readi grass and has been drinking water from the bottle! :yahoo: It's just a few bits and pieces but at least she's showing interest to eat. Last time she had CC and porridge was before we left and that was just 5mls each. She's getting there slowly! Her wound is small now and we reckon it'll be closed in a couple of days. We won't feed her CC tonight and we'll see if she would maintain her weight. 🤞

Cookie managed to maintain her weight (around 1080g) for 2 days without us giving her CC. But today she's gone down to 1058g so we have to top her up with CC. But she eat loads by herself whenever she's on the sofa with us or on our lap. Arrgggg...I can't wait for her to get back to normal and eating nonstop again. Her wound is closed now apart from a few scabbing left.
 
We haven't fed Cookie CC again since Friday. Her weight is 1074g on Friday morning, 1081g on Saturday and 1064g this Sunday morning. She sometimes eats a lot and sometimes have a lazy day and would just sleep a lot. This is feeding time tonight. She actually ran and follow me before I put their food bowl, which is what she used to do before she had the abscess. This is a big progress towards normality!

Fingers cross that she is. I do worry sometimes when I see her just lying in one of their boxes, but when I see her eating it's like a relief! It's a good thing too that loads of grass now that we can feed them.

Their eating hay and readi grass now.

Update:

Cookie has been gaining weight! She's up to 1095g this morning from 1084g yesterday. :yahoo: She still has a bit of wound in the neck which makes her a bit uncomfortable when we clean it so she is still on a small dose of metacam. But apart from that, she seems back to her old self. 😁

Prince though is the one who is taking CC for 3 days now, just a top up every now and then since he is still eating. He started drooling on Monday so his teeth has gone bad in a month (it lasted 6 weeks prior to that). He is due for a dental in Cat & Rabbit tomorrow so all 3 pigs will be coming to see Uncle Simon. Hopefully they would be given clean bill of health because we are off for a 2 week holiday on 7th May.

I know. I'm so happy about Cookie.

The good thing with Prince is he's soooo easy to be syringe fed. But you have to pet him and rub his neck to keep him chewing. 😂 Debbie of TEAS was so amazed with it when he had to stay with her last year when we went on holiday and took care of him. If you don't rub his neck or pet him, he would just stare at you with his mouth open. 😂😂

With Pedro being so much more, erm, energetic(!) now he’s feeling much better he’s a bit of a pain with his top up feeds but will sit still if I sing to him! These beasts do have strange ways sometimes! :D x

She’s a respectable weight.
