i got my daughter 2 Guinea pigs at Xmas. at first we kept them in the same cage but bubbles was getting bullied by squeak and he wasn't eating/drinking and generally very lethargic, so we bought another cage and separated them. for a while bubbles was getting better and they played 2gether at free range time but for the last week or so bubbles has gone back to not eating/drinking and is looking quite depressed not moving about much and wanting a lot of cuddles he has also got a little scab behind his ear which i think may be caused by squeak biting him. could any1 give me some advice about wot to do bubbles is also losing a bit of weight. the pigs were bought at pets at home do you think there could have been a problem with bubbles before i got him as i have heard some bad stories about the animals bought from this shop

Sounds as though the scab may be a fungal infection or mites - This will need to be checked on at the vets really to determine what it really is :)
Like you said it could have just been bite wound healing over though ;)

With the weight loss - I would personally just let them be friends through no contact with one another as this may be causing the weight loss due to them not being friends and then keep being reunited again

There may also be an underlying cause from the weight loss such as malocclusion which is overgrown teeth or something - Are his teeth ok ? Are they long ? :)

Are they back in the same hutch/cage again? I wouldn't put them back together as Squeak may be denying Bubbles food/water. Bubbles doesn't sound like a very well animal, I'm sorry to say :(
Like ILA said it could be his teeth, guineas do get depressed from loneliness, although obv the boys can't go together. He needs lots of handling and it would help if he can see his friend next door to him?

he has no hair loss and his teeth seem to be normal although the bottom tooth is as sharp as a knife is this normal

a trip to the vet to rule out a fungal infection would be a good idea. x
