My guinea pig Murphy is vet poorly he has almost stopped eating and the very says its sure to be a molar .he wants to put him down:-( I am currently syringe feeding him, he hungrily eats everything he can but he can't chew anything but parsly please help

Sorry to hear about Murphy :(
If it was me I would find a good piggy vet - I had a piggy with dental problems and the first vet was not any use but finding a decent piggy vet made all the difference. I dont see why a piggy should be put down cos of his teeth.
I am not a vet though.
Maybe if you say your location someone could suggest a great piggy vet ?
Best of luck

Hi Hayley Jane welcome to the forum, I'm sorry to hear Murphy's not well.
If he's still wanting to eat he's not ready to give up just yet. He needs to been seen by a vet who is experienced at dentals by the sound of it and quickly. Please could you let us know where you are so we can hopefully recommend one for you.
Debbie who runs the Excellent Adventure Sanctuary specialises in looking after piggies with dental problems and has an excellent vet in Northampton and would be a good person to contact for advice as well. Contact details are here on the facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-...pigs-with-extra-needs/231938713527009?sk=info

Debbie (furryfriends) who runs the sanctuary has commented on your other thread, please get in touch with her as dental piggies don't necessarily need to be put down they just need an experienced vet
