Hello,
One of my friends is currently sick and I'm not sure if she can hold one of my guinea pigs because I don't know if sickness can be passed from a human to a guinea pig.
Thanks.

Best not to. No need wait till they are well

I don’t think I’d want to be that close to someone who’s sick either in case they gave me whatever had made them sick.

If in any doubt, please always avoid contact completely or minimise it as much as possible.

Here is our forum advice for human sickness:
Human Colds/flu And Tummy Bug Advice
(This advice also goes for Covid as while there is not much of direct transmission, there is a small risk of picking up virus that has ended up in the fur if a piggy is kept in a room with a Covid sufferer and been coughed upon. Ideally, piggies are moved out of the room for the time being)
