Side by side hutch?

Just wondered if anyone has or knows where I could find a hutch/run combination for side by side housing?

We've had to separate our two boars as they were continually fighting, and at the moment their hutch/run is simply divided down the middle with a piece of wood - I am sort of hoping it can be temporary and that we might be able to reintroduce them as they get through puberty, but I'm not holding out that much hope tbh as they have fought enough to injure one another. At the moment they can't see one another, and they don't really have enough space, so it's by no means a permanent solution. However they already seem much more peaceful so I think we did the right thing, they occasionally peer over the top at one another and are making much happier noises than they have been for the past couple of days.

BUT I'm hunting online and I can't find a side by side solution, one where the pigs are living completely separately but can still see and interact with one another - does anyone know where I could find one?

thanks,
Sarah.

Welcome to the forum :)

I think you have done the right thing as I had to a while bacck. In the run what keeps 2 of my boys separate is grids. The same grids that are for a c & c cage. Either these or a partition made out of fencing/wire?

Not sure about the hutch situation as mine were in a double but now have a floor each

Hmm, maybe you could get 2 hutches, take one side off each, replace it with mesh then attach the hutches together. So they would both have their own hutch but would be able to see eachother. Not sure if it would work though or cost too much :P

Like Kelly suggested, you could use cubes/grids like the ones of C&C cages.

Looks ok to me . But not too keen on the ramps

Yeah me too I think you would have to box in the some of the ramp so they dont fall over the edge and maybe make them longer so the slope more

I like that cage but agree the ramp is a bit too steep, but you could easily replace it with one thats longer and not as steep! ;)

I looked at this one too for 4 boars that I'm adopting. Thought the run could be partitioned easily if there's any aggression.
Agree the ramp's a bit steep looking but I've been told that GPs are surprisingly good climbers?

It's not the going up it's the coming down. Agree the ramp is to steep, but apart from that it looks fine and is an ideal size. Will keep an eye for any other cages/ similar cages that I think will be suitable. Welcome to the forum. :)
