I went to a pet store closing down today (everything 50% off so I stoked up on bargain guinea pig products)
But there are 5 guinea pigs there and 2 of them have obviously given birth and just look exhausted. I've told the pet shop that if they are unable to home them then I will take them in and rehome them.
I'm kind of worried about taking on more than I can handle as I have 7 pigs already.
I'm weighing up the pro's and con's of taking them and so far I have.
Pro's
- Rehoming little pigs because who knows where they will end up after Saturday.
- They are quite an expensive rare breed for my area so I would be able to sell them to cover the cost of their time here.
- I do have the room for them all and they are all females and aside from one can be in the hutch together.
Con's
- One of the pigs has film over her eyes, so a chance she could be going blind.
- Taking on more pigs.
What does everyone think?
