Sigh - Cam *maybe* has a lump.

That's the last time I definitively say I checked them both over and could find nothing because Camowen has a lump between his legs - I think. With being a skinny he's got a fair amount of loose skin between his front legs so I can't pretend there's been nothing there before. It's not well defined, it's not hard, it's not causing him obvious pain, and I couldn't get a photo because he'd only stay put on his back if I had him with both hands and unfortunately I can't make it work even with selfie cam on timer.

It doesn't have the definition of Bann's lump but it's entirely soft. Would it be awful to leave it, keep an eye to it, and see how he goes? I know skinnies are prone but I think I want someone to else to say I'm not being risky about it.
 
I've rushed several of mine to the vet with what turned out to be fatty lumps. I think if he were mine I'd just keep an eye on it but I'm sure that's against usual forum advise. I've also had a few that were abscesses but the vets didn't want to do anything until they got bigger which took months so I think you've got time to think about it. Without hair it's probably easier to watch!
 
I did the same with Bann's lump, which eventually got seen because he injured his eye - but in that time it hadn't changed. But his looks like a marble or something under the skin, Cam's looks more like a swelling. Except I can't find any? It's more obvious when he's on his back so there's that at least.

He's sulking with me right now, but I think that's because Bann had most of the nuggets while I was wrestling with the wriggler and the phone. 🤷‍♂️ needs must, wee man!

Keep an eye on it but see how it develops over the coming days.

See a vet promptly with a fast growing and developing lump; as an emergency if goes on a runaway rampage and triples or quadruples or more in a day. But if it just sits there and does nothing you can wait and have it checked the next time you see your vet.

It also depends whether it is just loosely sitting in the skin (which means that it is much more likely to be harmless) or whether it is sitting firmly in the body. A lump that interferes with movement or is located close to a sensitive area or that causes obvious discomfort also should be seen sooner. It is mainly a bit of a matter of using your common sense.

Whatever looked like it was there last night looks to be gone again now, at least from my attempt to see it while he was trying to grab his pepper.

The way his skin folds, it looked more like a dewlap that's suddenly more prominent. I don't even mean bigger just more obvious if that makes any sense at all. Maybe it was a trick of the light 😕

Just keep a casual eye on it.
 
I wouldn't anyway, not so long as everything else is normal, it stresses him too much. I prefer to just watch anyway, the difficulty is finding him at the right angle because of where it is, poor sod. That's why I couldn't see anything this morning (rather than handling).
 
My skinny pig had lumps that wouldn’t have been noticeable if he had hair and a couple that grew fairly quickly which I did get the vet to check. I ended up taking photos because like Cam, those skin folds can be misleading. However taking photos of a skinny pig is like nailing butter to a greasy pole 😬
 
I'm not wanting to worry you but a lump in the dewlap (rather than on the skin) can be an enlarged lymph gland. This could point to some sort of infection, so it may be worth getting it checked out.
 
It's not quite his dewlap, it's that general area but closer to his front left leg (it's not central). The dewlap was the best I could think of.

I mean if he'd hold still I'd try getting him back out and get a photo, but I won't, because he won't. No point in stressing him, he's too busy yelling at me because he doesn't want orchard hay and insists I'm hiding the good stuff 🙄
