I had to share this... Titch as some of you may know is recovering from having a large abscess lanced on her cheek and is currently enjoying the life of Reilly as a house pig with her friend Lacey. They are having a ball and its amazing how quickly they learn where the fridge is!

Anyway, Titch is sensitive to sound, more so than any other guinea I have had. She has recently decided that some sounds on the telly sound like the fridge door opening or a plastic bag. Occasionally we have to endure the well developed pitch of Titch's voice above the sound of the television and pretty much anything else as she 'thinks' she can hear the sound of food on the way. She wheeks (and thats the understatement of the year..I should say shrieks) at the telly...

Anyone else's piggy do this? Its so bizarre but hilarious to watch!

I have to say, when she does eventually go back into her heated shed I will miss her very much!

:)) Awww bless her! Pitch used to wheek louder than the hoover :)) Some of them do have the loudest voices for the smallest of creatures.

Titch sounds like such a fun little character to have around. Lots of healing vibes and cuddles sent to her :) Do you have any videos of the yelling?

Argh thank you, she is such a character, very cheeky.

I dont have a video actually but I should. Trouble is its so random, I could not make her do it if I tried! If I get the chance I will take one. She is developing her voice well, she hates having her wound flushed and at the vets yesterday the whole waiting room, in fact the whole building could hear her, she was out the back in the operating room as well!.....it was quite amazing that one furball could make that much noise...incredible.

Louder than a hoover, umm, I think she'd be on a par for sure..and its developing into a longer and longer wheek as well!

Just love her....she says thanks for the cuddles and can she stay with you as she is getting tortured daily by her mum, LOL ! xx

before we lost her my girl patch used to stand on top of her toys and as you put it shrieked if she thought her breakfast was late (anything after 6 am), she was an outside piggy and you could here her through the double glazing. Gandalf likes to sing what can only be described as war songs whilst guarding the run, but hides when ever you approach leaving a very bemused Pi, standing in the run. I'm sure if she could she would be tutting.

Thats so funny! Mine are very breakfast conscious too...anything after 7am is a sackable offence. I had one who used to hear my car coming up the road (the shed backs onto the drive) and as soon as she heard the car door she was off, wheeking away..no matter what time of day!

Btw I love the name Gandalf....very cool!

I'm glad I'm not t he only one who gets shouted at for being late, (although this morning it was the cat shouting at me). glad you like gandalfs name, there is a thread on here with his pics. he looks the part lol.

That's hilarious, bless her, what a clever girl.

I have a few shriekers, the loudest being the skinnies.
