Went to give the Piggies their dinner and found Maple had manage to get some hay stuck in her eye. Saw her scratching at it. Grabbed her and managed to get the hay out. Brought her in and it was cloudy and gooey looking. I cleaned it up the best I could and she went straight for her veggies without hesitation.

Will keeping an eye on her but if needs be she'll be going to the vet with Pecan!

Plus took Maple out and Rambo went absolutely mental! She was screeching and running around until I put her back in!
 
Oh MAPLE! Silly moo! Can we have a pic of her plz? Unfortunately I've never seen a pic of her!
 
Aww poor thing. Amelia Jane got hay in her eye once and although I removed it I took her to the vet anyway and they said she had ulcerated it and put her on drops.

She seemed okay but she's so accident prone! Will be booking Pecan for a vet visit and get Maple checked out too... Always something with those two!
Just realised Rambo is going to have to come to the vets as well... She went crazy when I took Maple out for five minutes!

Still think she's gorgeous... Even if she does slap! ;) hahaha
Good luck with the eye.
Think ive read somewhere u can use optrex to help relieve sore eyes. One of the more experienced ones on here may be able to help with that.
Must admit any hay pokes I've had I have bathed their eyes with boiled then cooled to tepid temperature water with a tiny pinch of salt in it. Just until I can get veterinary attention.
Keep monitoring it closely though as eyes can become infected &problematic very quickly.

Ps does that mean I'm going to have to pignap Rambo as well as Maple? ;)

Unfortunately take Maple away Rambo will just screech... Loudly she was still screeching until I came back with Maple... I have been advise with the tepid water and will do that!
 
Awww bless her, keep a close eye on it. Any clouding then get her checked at ASAP they earlier the better with eye pokes. But hoping she will be all fine, pretty girl.

Her eye had clouded over this morning - Just got back from the vet. She's grumpy, has a green eye and is now on eye drops up to 3 times a day and Metacam once a day.
