Just been having a cuddle with Misty and OH and I decided to clip her nails. She hates having them done and is a real biter so we turned the tables on her - OH held her and I cut them, normally it is the other way round.

I got all the back nails done before she even noticed properly :(|) and then went to do her front nails. At this point she began biting OH. To stop her we wrapped OH's hand in a towel (she was already in one). She tried biting him and got towel :)). Then she tried to get me but couldn't because of where my hand was. So she repeatedly bit herself instead mallethead She tried for me, missed, bit herself, realised and stopped. Next nail - tried, missed, bit herself mallethead

I know I shouldn't laugh but it was funny to watch her get herself instead of me, realise and then do it again! She was getting very grumpy with herself too! mallethead

However, nails trimmed in well under 5 minutes and she cheered up when going back into her cage and finding treats! ^)

Next step is to bathe her for the first time - her white bits are not as sparkly as usual. I am not looking forward to this!

xx

Awww, what a silly girl! Pigtures please!

Will attempt a photoshoot tomorrow, want some of her in her new bed. Will try and photograph her bathing experience too, poor Misty she doesn't know what is coming to her :)):))

Little monkey lol! :)):))

My little piggie used to nibble on her front paws in frustration when we used to pick her up or trim her nails, never seen any other piggie do it before rolleyes

Moonpig started nibbling her nails when I was applying some Ivermectin, shame she doesn't do it all of the time and keep them trimmed herself! :)

If you've survived nail trimming bath time will be a breeze! ;)

Last week I was bathing my pigs on the floor in a tub, I soaped one of them up reached over to get the jug to rinse him off and he jumped out and was running round the room covered in bubbles and foam.

She's probably plotting evil plans for the next time she has to get her nails cut :)).

Actually I don't know if it helps, but like humans, it seems easier to trim their nails after a bath, as they are softer, so maybe try that next time? :)

Misty sounds like a pig with a big personality! :)) Bless her!

and a huuge bum to go with it! :)):)) She weighs 1500g! :x

When we were taking Storm to the vets we used to take Misty for company. Vet used to weigh them both and assured us that Misty had no mystery lumps, unlike Storm, but she was just fatter! :(|):(|)
