Silly question but just wondering

My Dave is not eating or drinking so I've stepped in with syringe feeding and syringe him water he's taking them both little by little now my question is his ears are cold and his body temp feels cooler than he normally is would skin to skin with me be ok as he loves sleeping on my chest just under my neck as I don't wanna wrap him in a blanket in case he gets to hot if that makes sense will add pic of where he likes to sleep x

Aww he is cute.. I am sure a bit of a cuddle won't do any harm but I am no expert with poorly piggies...

Hi!

Do you have a snugglesafe you can microwave for half the time so it is just warm but not hot? You will have to get up again in the night to reheat, but then you' have to get up checking and and feeding anyway. Alternatively, you just loosely cover him with a fleece so he can get away.

Hi no I don't have a snugglesafe he has his own blanket but just don't want him to over heat, I'm sleeping downstairs with him tonight so I can feed him through the night I've weighed him he was 1.6kg now he's 1.2kg I'm going to call the vets in the morning he's taking the critical care and water ok x
 
Do his front 4 teeth look ok? I think a tooth check will be the first thing the vet will look at. Make sure your vet knows about guinea pigs and teeth before they do any trimming, if it is that. So many vets trim teeth and dont really know what they are doing
 
Aww, poor piggie. Please make sure you make an appointment with an experianced small animal or exotic vet. It would be great if you could add your location to your profile so members can reccomend vets and rescues near you. You can do this by following the pictures i have below. Please update us after the vets appointment, goodluck!

His teeth look ok nothing out of the ordinary, he's still taking the critical care food and water ok , my vets have an exotic vet there so will make an appointment with him first thing in the morning x
 
Took Dave to the vets they said to carry on with the syringe feeding for the next 24hrs he hasn't lost any more weight which is good he's putting up more of a fight today with the syringe feeding so is that a sign he's feeling a bit better or not x
 
Also just notices his fur is falling out think I'm going to take him back to the vets x
