I know its a silly question, but right now, only 1 of my piggies is brave enough to go to the second level. She has been running up and down the ramp for a few hours. However, the last hour, she has decided to stay at the top, by herself. What I am wondering is, if she stays up there for however long, will the other 2 accept her back? They are talking away to each other. I am just worried as I will not be at home at all tomorrow, and I don't want to come back to any bloodshed!
Sorry for the silly question! I just don't want to deny her that second level if thats where she wants to stay right now!

nooo dont worry about it :) one of my piggies likes to chill out up there she just lies down and sometimes goes to sleep up there but the other piggies stays hidden so dont worry about they wont reject her :)

That's not a silly question :)

Actually, as above, this isn't a problem. Piggies have reasonable memories, especially for other piggies, and they're not like monkeys or other apes in terms of accepting or rejecting group members in that way. The other thing to remember is that, while they have a good sense of smell and reasonable eye sight, piggies are very vocal/oral. They communicate with each other all the time and this is true for piggies who live in different cages so I'm sure chilling out on the first floor is nothing to a piggy :)

Don't over worry yourself, you will find that the other Piggies will soon be up the ramp, if only to see if they're missing anything. lol

Don't worry, it takes longer and usually a change of smell to break a bond. Your piggy will come down for food (it is just having a great time with a mew "toy"! The others will hopefully figure out the ramp soon. Perhaps you can sprinkle a few veg, grass or herb treats on the ramp to entice them up?

I placed a log roll thingy under the end of my ramp as suggested by another forum memeber so lessen the steepness of the slope and this seemed to work really well, and I also laid leaves down below so the reluctant piggie could hear her friends munching and a few up the slope to coax her. As the other members say don't worry the careful one will soon get the hang of it and the others will be fine with her.

Thanks for settling my mind! I do currently have a wooden bridge thing under the end of the ramp and bits of treats are along the ramp.

I left at silly o clock yesterday, and Pebbles, the I think older one, and braver was at the bottom. As soon as she saw me, she run to the top! Last night, I get home and she was at the top, by herself again. Same this morning. After eating breakfast, I come back in and find Misty at the top also! She is still up there now. Only problem is Smudge, the most shy is acting completly different now shes at the bottom alone! She almost looks scared!

I do have food and hay on both levels incase one becomes scared to go down the ramp.

It can take a few days for some piggies to master a ramp, so don't worry if you have one left at the bottom; she will eventually make it, too.

Pleased to say that everyone is using both levels now!:(|)
