When people speak about piggy train does this involve owner and pig or does piggies go on the train alone and get picked up at the other side?
As if my boys don't get successfully reintroduced I may need to piggy train for boar dating for both of them as I'm in Scotland.

it means that members drive the piggies between each other to their location, not overly sure it would work on boar dating though

No, it can and has been done to help rehoming or piggy date piggies, too. However, "piggy trains" rely entirely on the goodwill, generosity and availability of forum members and rescue volunteers.

PS: Depending on where you are, you can perfectly well use public transport for picking up piggies if that gets you closer to where you need to go, even if you don't quite go to the lengths of coming all the way from Glasgow on the train for a piggy date in South Wales, as one forum member has done on one occasion! rolleyes

Public transport to the south of wales? That's gotta take a long time. I have a car but I couldn't manage the journey there and back by myself it wouldn't be safe. If things don't work out not sure how I'll go about boar dating as I'm only off sats and sundays. I would much prefer to go to a rescue with boar dating experience as the rescue I went to sent harry home in a few hours and gave me bad advice.
Not sure I'd cope with the thought of them travelling alone :(. What's the nearest reputable boar dating service to Scotland?
