Junior Guinea Pig
Its absolutely chucking it down where I am located so I went out to see if the piggies were okay.
My 4 are some what 'free range' guinea pigs. Each pair have insulated hutches that open out onto a large run that sits on a wooden pallet and then onto grass. The bottom doors are always open so they can either stay on the wood or hop down onto the grass whenever they feel like.
The wood part and the hutch is covered by a plastic cover which prevents the rain and wind but at the other end of the run on the grass, open with no cover.
I went out with my umbrella to make sure they were all okay and they were out pop-corning around on the grass in the pouring rain! Absolutely loving it as they got soaked.
I bundled them all up, dried them all off and popped them back into their hutches with some veg.
They wouldnt be so happy to be wet if it was cold!
Anyone elses pigs love water/rain?
