I just adopted a piggy names Silvia - although that's soon to change as she's not a girl ^-^

He arrived in a bird cage :tickedoff: with wire flooring and such long nails and he couldn't open her feet. :( I slowly massaged them and opened them up and clipped his nails - but he's still got growth in his pads which I will snip off as soon as he's a little more comfortable. He's an American tan/white. Beautiful little piggy. He's so timid and shy and didn't even have water when he arrived. He had never been fed hay, fresh veggies, or any sort of vitamin supplement. So I'm hoping he will have a big personality improvement here soon.. he also didn't have any toys or even a pigloo in his cage.. he just sat there in his bedding in a fricking bird cage. :( I'm so angry but I'm glad he's here now. That woman was outright cruel. :( :tickedoff:

On the brigher side, he's sitting in my transportation cage until I get a bigger one here shortly - I was told he came with a large cage, and was astonished at what I saw when I got him. I through the bird cage in the trash and put him in a smaller cozier place - to give him time to settle down. i gave him parsely and cucumber and fresh food and water and hay and let him be.. i hope he'll be alright pretty soon. He'll love a gigantic c&c cage =D

So, he's a wonderful start to my piggy rescue. =) So I'm happy.. two little girlies on the way soon. I'll keep yall updated. :smitten:

Sorry, the website fell over :o :( :( :(

Ooooooo makes my blood boil too :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff:
Mongrel woman :P :P :P

Awwwww he sounds a little darling, what a terrible start to his life :'( :'(
I'm glad you have him and i hope you're able to coax him out to enjoy real piggie life :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
Good luck, please keep me posted i'd love to know how this all goes :)

Just make sure (i know you wouldnt) but he is kept away from piggies with lice/mites as the situation will get 100 times worse.

I'm not being horrible in the slightest but maybe you should concentrate on poor luna at the moment rather than trying to get more piggaroos, I can imagine how bad I would feel if I kept taking in ever resuce and pigs i had that were already poorly suffered as a result! And you have all the bubs to think about too! ;) :)

Like I said, it's 2a.m., I awoke to Luna scrambling.. I had no idea about Luna until just a few minutes ago. And no, I won't be taking on anymore rescues with this going on. Once I saw what I mess Luna was I quickly sent and email to the woman who I was taking in the two sows from.

oh poor little lamb hope he picks up soon I'd love to stuff the woman in a bird cage , try to keep him quite and keep checking him but concentrate on Luna and bubs, he is safe now and obvioulsy well fed just keep checking on him to see hes adjusting ok, and make sure he is bug free obviously, but on the whole make Luna priority other wise you could risk losing her bubs good luck keep us updated

Harley (previously Silvia) is hanging out just fine. He's enjoying his new food and veggies and hay and WATER! Can't imagine why, ::) :P

Luna's with her babies and there's less scrambling today. She's just kinda hanging out with them.. although she's feeling really skinny

Poor piggy. Was he always in the cage or was that just what he was brought in
