I think one of my sows is in season and she keeps rumblestrutting at my neutered boar, getting his attention then having a go at him as soon as he does anything back.

Is this normal?

Totally - they can be sweet tempered little things when they are feeling hormonal.
Nothing like women in real life at all
Ah okay, I just feel so bad for him. She keeps leading him on then getting aggressive. I'm concerned he's going to start fighting back...

My Jess does the same, a real tease! But Luigi’s always trying it on (even when she’s not in heat!) so I just figure she’s paying him back or making him work for the love time!
I’ve found it helps to distract them a bit with floor time or a big pile of hay, Luigi can get a bit forceful at times and the noises from the cage can get a bit loud and sound like someone’s being tortured!

I suppose worst case I'll just have to separate him... He's usually so polite too!

Hopefully her season will be over quickly and calm will return soon!
Rupert her last husboar was the sweetest, calmest lad but just couldn’t help himself when she was having a stronger season! And she’s the noisiest pig, think because she’s deaf and can’t hear herself screech! I’d get him/her out for a rest sometimes and she’d be shouting him, then return to cage and she’d tell him to get off again! 🤦‍♀️

Sounds familiar lol, she's never had a season this strong before so I am quite on edge

Jess seems to have the odd strong one that the boys really haven’t been able to resist! Used to really worry me as I’d wake up hearing them in the night but got used to my nutty lady after six and a half years now! Try not to stress about it too much, will be over soon! x

I’d say leave them to it. It will settle down eventually. Seasons can be stronger in the presence of boar pheromones 🤦🏾‍♀️
I do tend to leave them be but Jess (with her age) can get pretty exhausted when it’s going on all day and has this naughty younger man all over her even when she’s not shaking her botty in his face! He’ll get her at any angle, asleep or awake!

Yes please dont seperate them- lady pigs start coming into season and will rumble and lead the boys on for about 24 hours before they are ready to accept a mating- our little Tallulah is doing this today, flirting with husboar Ollie then squealing and running away when he tries to mate- later today or tomorrow she will accept him for a few hours of frantic piggy love then they'll be back to normal, but Ollie pigwig with his disabled funny legs will be a bit tired out from all the flirting and chasing! Its important to let these natural behaviours run their course though without interfering, all this stuff is important in maintaining a healthy and stable mixed pair bond x

Bless him, bet Ollie must get knackered with his legs and all the excitement keeping up with gorgeous Tallulah! x
