So the fur-balls didn't get a hutch clean out at the weekend, so tonight I did it after work, in relative darkness. Thankfully I have LED lights inside the hutch, and a bit of light from the summerhouse, anywhoooo, so its 2 degrees, I'm booted up, wearing my ski jacket, put the pop up pen and transfer each group at a time whilst I clean out. Finally...and I do this in record time, however Captain Jack, who has a habit of getting his manly bits in a tangle with boar glue and generally...having a cork shoved up his backside. Poor guy, he's clearly feeling uncomfortable, and after a little time of a warm bath...I finally manage to extract a large poo stuck with all sorts, bless him. He had a little squeak but quickly forgot about it when he smelt the food bowl full of peppers and cucumber, the relief in his little face and ears clearly showed.

I love my little boy Jack and regardless of being tired, cold, nose dribbling because I have a mild cold, it's drizzling outside whilst i clear out, it's important to keep their habitat dry, bug free, plenty of hay and boredom breakers. IMG_0036.webp

Just thought I'd share my evening. x
