So.... I have no idea what the response to this thread will be or even if anyone will own up to singing songs to their piggles! However if you do what do you sing. I was telling my sister the other day the song I sing to twiglet and she just burst into laughter, but anyone here it goes.

This has to be sung in a sing song6type of voice to get the full impact.

Twiggy wiggy wiggy wiggy wig wig wig,
Hes such a special little pig pig pig,
pig pig pig
Pig pig pig
PIG PIG PIG ( gets louder)
Yahhhhh!

So if you sing and will admit to it, what do you sing?
 
Unfortunately I don't make up my own songs. I sing ' Ruby' by the kaiser chiefs to Ruby.
'Ruby, Ruby, Ruby, Ruby ahahahahahhaaahhhhh'
She just looks at me daft.
 
I always sing to my pigs! The songs often change as they are impromptu, but when Heston was alive we had the Heston loves hay song.

Hesty loves hay, hay, hay, hay.
He eats hay, all, all, day.
we munch hay, yay yay, yay.
Heaton loves hay, he loves hay.
HHAAAAY!

The was also the mishy-moo song, that I sang to my foster piggy mish-mish.

Oh that mishy moo
Oh you mishy moo moo
Oh you mishy moo
Ah the mishy moo hoo
(and repeat)

Mina loves - 'Mares eat oats and does eat oats and little lambs eat ivy
A pig will eat ivy too, wouldn't you'
(the old nursery song) she goes all quiet and still, listening very carefully, and really chuckles afterwards!

I also sing, to any of the girls, 'I've got a little pig
and every morning in her pen
she wheekles and she wheekles
but she always eats her veg
I think she's getting fat
Fatty Fat I'll call my pig
I've got a little pig
I'll call her Fatty Fat'
To the tune of 'I've got a speckled hen'

They don't mind being called Fatty Fat!
 
A great thread Mizzpigz! I thought I was the only one! Phew.... but there are many of us doing it!

All of ours have had songs, which just sort of happen.

To the tune of 'The animals came marching two by two' Megans is....

Agouti and white and got poo feet
Megan, Megan
Very cute and slow to eat
Megan, Megan
Turns round on the spot and short of sight,
On your your lap she'll poo all night
Megan is a Special piggie wig

Cookie and Treacle's to the sound of 'Love and Marriage' was

You can't feed one without the other

This little charlie pig ate his carrots
This little kenny pig ate his peas
And they went yum yum yum all the way home!

I don't sing but i do like to enter the kitchen with 'IGGY PIGGY WIGGYS!'
To which they all run for cover or look at me open mouthed, mid hay munch.
Hmm, maybe I SHOULD sing?!

Every morning - 'how do you like your pigs in the morning, I like mine with a squeak!'

And the always popular (from Singing in the Rain) 'Good morning, good morning, you've pooped the whole night through, good morning, good morning to you!'

:) Love it. Will be trying out some of these suggestions with my peegs x
 
Ha! we sing 'good morning' too, with various different words.

I tend to just make up different random songs, composed mostly around poo, being stinky boars, hay and nuggets. occasionally i sing 'I'm gonna take you to the hay bar'

:)) :)) I sing to mine all the time, but it's impromptu and I can't just recall anything particular. Maybe I will when I get home.
 
I sing to my piggies far to often... who said you needed to be sane to own guinea pigs. In fact i think it helps to be mildly insane.

Me and my boyfriend also have competitions in the car on guinea pig songs. We put the radio on and we each have to change the lyrics to one of the songs to be about guinea pigs. Recently we’ve had Kiss sung by prince.

Hillarious, am loving the songs, it's true, we are completely buts...no no I meant nuts. It was the "I like pig butts I cannot lie" that got me.
