Sir George has a crust on his pee pee that I can't remove. It's possible I'm being too gentle. I've used plenty of oil.
I feel guilty because it's the 1st time I've checked him since getting back from Turkey. Previously he's always been very clean and I've never needed to do anything.
Any advice please 🙏

Hmmm, not sure.
Loki 🌈constantly had sperm rods, I had to check him every day, pull ends of the sperm rods to remove them & expose his privates to check for sperm rods hidden away.
Good luck.

A crust?
Have you got a picture?

Could it be dried out smegma, which can go a bit concrete-like?

Would it be possible to post a picture so we don't have to guess wildly, sight unseen?

My Rainbow Piggy Silver Fox Christian🌈 had spinal arthritis and every couple of days I had to clean his willy and check to see there weren't any sperm rods (stinky job but he couldn't do it by himself). I removed lots of sperm rods and cleaned lots of smegma with a cotton bud. This was the largest sperm rod I had to remove (very carefully I might add!)
HUGE Sperm Rod.webp

If you can't remove the crust you may have to take him to the vets. Sir George must be quite uncomfortable. Poor boy!

He's not showing any signs of being in discomfort or distress so I think perseverance will work. It's starting to loosen up, so I will leave him alone tomorrow and have another go after. Hopefully it's helping him to be able to remove it himself.
He's so calm with any handling that it doesn't upset him in any way, bless him.
I'll obviously be on alert for any signs of infection or pain in which case he'll be going to the vet. He's having paracetamol (which he loves) just in case, and I'm taking the opportunity to give Mr Bob syringe training, which is very successful.

Just keep at it. Very old, dry smegma is like concrete but such a relief when it is off!

Merlin had a build-up around the base that started to prevent him from retracting his penis just recently; thankfully, his must have built up fairly quickly just over the summer, so I could work it off and while I didn't get any thank you he did had popcorning session later that evening. :)
