Hi everyone.

Just to give you all heads up. Have ben watching a video that had been posted on Rainbow rescue website. Apparently someones rabbit nearly died through getting tangled in one of these. Poor thing was almost strangled to death. Please be careful. If anyone wants more info it is on Kay's wall it's also on mine. Please those of you who use facebook please share. Hopefully we can stop some one elses fur baby getting strangled.

After seeing how dangerous wire vegie balls & wire hay hangers were to piggies I binned all such things. Now this! Thanks for the heads up. Will not be buying anything for the furries that has openings. .

Could you post a picture of a sisal ball?

I googled it but I'm still not sure what it is

I believe it came undone. and the poor thing was caught in it. round his neck legs ect. thankfully he is ok but only cause owner heard the trashing and got to him just in time. was no time to untangle him she had to cut it quickly. so very sad

if you go on youtube and search sasal ball srangulation danger the video will come up. it does not show any video of the rabbit with the toy. however she has used a teddy bear to show how the poor thing was stuck.

cross posted with lisaali. Thank you lisaali. I don't know how to do that.

I'm glad the bunny is okay and the owner found him in time, but what a shock!

Thank for the warning... i bought one for my piggie ages ago, maybe 9 months ago (as a treat cos she was waiting for her boar to be neutered) and my female guinea pig skittles shredded it while i was at work, i took it all out the cage when i came home and never bought one again but i can see how dangerous they are!

Here's what she did to hers and i had only given it to her before work... I'm glad she didn't get tangled now. I didn't think too much of it at the time.

My six only get wooden chews blocks and dumbbells and nothing they can get stuck in!

Oh those! I used to buy my guinea pigs them in the pack of 3 (3 different types) the piggies loved them but they would be wrecked in a day or so so I didn't think they were worth the high price.

Now I'm glad I stopped buying them. Poor Rabbit. Thanks for the warning.
