Hiya, my question is pretty much as the title says. In two weeks when I get paid I am going to buy some stuff to make a C&C cage. My plan is to make a 4x2 with a hay loft, I might be able to fit a 5x2 but I am not entirely sure it will fit on the table. So would you say 4x2 was big enough for three with an added hayloft? (Approx dimensions according to my calculations 145cmx 75cm with a hayloft of 35cmx 75cm.)

Four by two is the minimum required for two. If you have three piggies I would go at five by three.

A 2x4 C&C grid (provided the grids are 12in) is about 1 m square, the same as a traditional 2x5 ft cage, which is the minimal RSCPA recommendation, so you are technically OK, especially if you can extend upwards and create a more generous space that way.

My hub has extended a table for me to make a 2x5 grid cage with a 2x2 mezzanine when Mali joined my cataract trio in their then 2x4 grid cage, so that would be an option if you have DIY skills (or know somebody).

The recommended size for 3 pigs is 2x5 grids. If it won't fit on a table, you could build a stand from grids, or leave the cage on the floor (if it's not drafty).
If they are boars, you may need a bigger cage.
