So geoff the eldest of my 3 boars (approx 1 year 3 months) was just out having floor time and I noticed a sore on his back, it was not bleeding or oozing, and felt rather hard but I didn't want to pick at it for fear of making it worse, I then also noticed that one of his feet has lost a lot of fur and seems to look sore, he didn't react when I touched his foot or bum and I don't have any previous experience with problems like this so was wondering if anyone knows what it is and if we should be heading to the vets..?

P.s I'm aware his nails are in need of a cut, also I haven't personally seen him over grooming himself so I don't think that's what it is

Please have him seen by a vet for either fungal, mange mites (invisible) or fur mites (visible but tiny egg cases fixed to hairs at the bum end and currently making the rounds). Any of them could be responsible for the crusts on your picture.
