Hi everyone!

I have a young guinea pig who's skin is flaking off on his back and growing into his hair. Bindi has previously been treated for mites so that wouldn't be the cause.

Please reply if you have experienced anything similar..

Thanks!🤍

I haven’t had anything like that with my piggies, but I think it would be better for you to take him to the vet.

:agr: Flaky skin could be for all kinds of reasons, you need to take piggy to a vet.
Just because they’ve been treated for mites before, doesn’t mean it isn’t it again

Did you find out what this was? I recently noticed the same thing with one of my pigs!

This is an old thread and this member has been back on in months. It’s best to start your own new thread for any health concern, but most importantly have your piggy seen by a vet
