Having got test results back comfirming Sherbet has ringworm i thought my piggy problems would soon be over. Unfortunatly Pumpkin's now developed a skin problem on her nose... :(
Luckily they both have got treatment, Sherbets hair is growing back on the scabby patches on her head and it seems to be less painful for her :) Pumpkin is being rather difficult as it seems quite painful and tries to bite anything that comes near her sore nose including the atiseptic i've been given to clean the area with.
Any tips on how to put antiseptic on her nose without her getting so stressed out would be helpful.

Either wrap her firmly in a towel or distract her with food - she can't bite that well with her mouth full! I have found that guinea pigs can get so absorbed in stuffing themselves that they forget about their body. It came in useful when trying to get eye gel into a sore eye!

Best of luck!

PS: Make sure that you wear gloves while you are handling your piggies - ringworm can transmit to humans!

I find food bribes work. Try to quickly train the piggy to see that cream stuff =food. Chocolate is going nuts at the moment as he has learnt that antibiotics = cucumber.

Thanks for all the replies, i tried distracting her with food and she doesn't struggle at all now, as long as there's a carrot to nibble on. :)
