Skinny Guinea Pig?

I knew pepsi had dropped a little weight after Buddy died, but I didn't realize how skinny he got until he was all wet for his bath. He's not dangerously thin (i think) but thinner then I would like. Is there anything I can do to help him gain some more weight? He's got (almost) unlimited hay, a hay cube or two (in case he runs out of free hay), lots of fresh fruits and veggies, and a bowl of pellets that i refill one or twice a day (is it good for them to eat a lot of pellets?) Should I be upping a certain part of his food? Are there any special foods I should have him on? Could it just be that he's lonely? I'm not completely ready to get another pig yet, but I have been checking petfinder every few days in case there's a female pig in my local rescue since I know he was much happier living with another pig.

my parents don't think we need another pig. yet. i'm thinking its time to stop by the library for guinea pig books - especially ones that say guinea pigs should be in twos.

I'm keeping an eye on petfinder in case the perfect piggy comes along, but i plan to start volunteering at the humane society in september when i turn 14 (minimum age) so I'll be able to check out the piggies there, too hahaha.
