Skinny Pigs Demand Skinny Food - Why?

My skinny pig baby sows were frustrating me with their disinterest in veg I was trying to add to their diet, like cucumber and turnip. I took a chance and started using the kitchen mandolin to slice the food super-thin, and now they eat everything!

What is up with that?!?! It's not a big deal to prepare and gives the food a chance to come to room temperature, but I'm just wondering why they're like this about food. If the food is 1 mm too thick, like 2 mm thick, they ignore the food.

Lol sometimes when my two decide they are going off of a particular veg I cut it in a different shape than normal and they will start eating it again. Sometimes they are so gullible.
