I have adopted a coronet baby guinea pig from a shelter. And compared to her companion Reece she is very thin and delicate. I’m trying to focus on feeding her more and finding which veggies that she likes most. She’s not a fan of lettuce and she’s ok with cucumber but she isn’t nuts for it like Reece. She seems big but under her fur u can feel all her bones and it’s scaring me.

Hi!

I hope that these guides will help you. Please opt for a good balanced diet for long term health rather than filling her with junk food. It is mosy likely that she hasn't had any veg before nor has her mother, so he hasn't had any chance to learn what is safe to eat and what not, nor have her guts adapted to processing fresh food. Please be careful to never introduce more than one variety at a time in small quantities. She will hopefully learn from Reece what is safe to eat.

It would also be good to have her thoroughly vet checked, including her back teeth in case there is a physical problem behind her being so skinny. No good standard rescue would rehome an extremely skinny piggy unless it was vet cleared and you would be told what to do to continue her recovery, so they may not have had a vet check.
